Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my readers out there. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for reading my blog and following along with me on my many journeys. I appreciate each and every like and follow I received. Whether you be in Canada, the USA or far beyond the waters, I hope everyone has a great weekend and finds sometime to give thanks and spend time with loved ones.
This weekend I’m hoping to get a bit of reading done. Reading the entire Reckoners Series by Brandon Sanderson is how I dream of spending my weekend, but between all the visiting with family and turkey and cupcake and pie eating, I will probably only get through a few pages.

I will be away from the blog for a couple days for the holiday, but will be back next week to blog away. Hopefully, by the time I return, all the snow will be gone and we can get back to autumn! But still, I could resist one last gorgeous winter picture.

Winter Has Come
It is October 5th, 2016, and here (in central Saskatchewan), we are getting our first winter storm of the season. Wahhhhhh! Winter is often five months long here, but six!?!? Anyway, I’m trying to enjoy all the good things that come with snow, like pretty pictures, extra hot coffee, soup season, scarves, and a great excuse to cuddle up with my favorite books. So, in ode to this early arrival, I thought I would to an extra post of pictures about the storm, because if you take the time to look, it really is beautiful, even if I spent half the night awake, frightened that my house was about to blow away.
The Beginning of the Storm. It just started as wind and cold rain. But in the morning I woke up to this:

It is colder, windier and, of course, snowier than yesterday, but I have a few reason I can’t feel too bad about it: 1. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins, and 1. Warm Blankets and Good Books.
Oh yeah, and the Mexico trip I booked for January. My snow break can’t come soon enough.

Write a conversation between the two people below. What are they talking about? Do they know each other? How did they come to be where they are?

I Love Books

Weekly Writing Prompt
Describe what it feels like to walk up these stairs toward the waterfall. What lies on the other side? What does it feel like, and sound like, to stand near the rushing water?

I Love Books

Weekly Writing Prompt
Who lives in this house? What reason do they have for living in a tree? Are they human or something else? Who built the house? Write about living in this house for five minutes.

First Day of Fall
I’ve already been blogging for a few weeks about how much I love fall. I’ve been collecting pictures of all kinds of fall goodness that I want to share with you. Enjoy!

Pumpkins, leaves, and colourful displays, oh my!
Trees, trees and more trees.
Birds!

And my absolute favourite tree. I wish they came in this colour all year round!

My Latest Book Haul
I got my Kobo Aura One earlier this week and loaded it up with books. Today was a gorgeous fall afternoon, so I thought what’s better than letting my books jump into great big piles of yellow leaves. Nothing! So here are the pics of my upcoming late summer/autumn reads. These are the books I already have. I’ll be posting soon about the upcoming Fall 2016 new releases that I’m looking forward to. But for now, pretty pictures of my featured YA pics.
